New topic alert!
This will be our last topic that we will cover in Year 2!
We are going to be looking at different celebrations from across the world and how they are celebrated in different countries.
This is a brilliant topic to end our year with, I am really looking forward to it!
We are very excited to be starting our new topic this term. We will be looking at a huge variety of animals and their habitats from around the world. The children are very enthusiastic about this topic so please encourage them at home to find out any interesting facts and bring them in to share with us all! We would love to find the most fascinating fact possible!
This term, we are looking at People of the Past.
We have been exploring famous people from our city of Liverpool and in our country. Such as John Lennon, Cilla Black, Bill Shankly from Liverpool and in the UK Mary Queen of Scots, Roald Dahl, Queen Elizabeth I. We have looked at why they are famous and what made them so memorable.
Dress up- Thursday 14th December.
To complete our topic 'People of the Past', we would like to invite the children to dress up as a famous person from the past. During the day we will hold a catwalk show to show each child as their chosen person.
Please don't go to any expense for this. Examples-
Florence Nightingale- long dress, mop cap.
Christopher Columbus- binoculars and a map.
Queen from the past
