Gwladys Street will continue to participate in our Walk to School Initiative, working in partnership with Living Streets.
Walking to school, or even just part of the journey will help your child learn about road safety and looking after the environment. The more families walking to school, means the fewer cars at the school gate, resulting in less congestion and pollution.
In addition, walking to school is a great opportunity to improve your health and fitness levels! Walking to school counts towards increasing your daily physical activity levels; every child should be doing 60 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic physical activity every day and every adults should do 150 minutes throughout the week!
Your child will have the opportunity in class to register how they travelled to school on a daily basis. If your child registers as walking 3 times each week, they will achieve a monthly badge!
