FS1 - Caterpillars

Welcome to Nursery 2017-18!

I am really looking forward to working in partnership with you over the coming year to support your child to grow and develop.

The staff in Nursery this year are Miss Nolan (Class Teacher), Mrs Greenall (Key Worker) and Miss Richardson (Key Worker).

Over the year we will be welcoming our children into Nursery and are excited to share many new learning experiences together!

Our topics in Nursery this year are:

‘The Great Outdoors’ - Autumn Term

'The Story Chest' - Spring Term

'People Who Help Us' - Summer Term

We will be spending lots of time outside so please ensure children come to school with warm, waterproof coats and suitable footwear.

Please remember to send your child to Nursery with lots of spare sets of clothes if they are still learning to use the toilet independently. This is very much appreciated.

This page will be updated over the year so please keep checking back.

Thank you

Miss Nolan

Building a Bridge of Books - Parent Project

During the Summer Term, Nursery are taking part in an exciting project called ‘Building a Bridge of Books.’ The project will run for 6 weeks with each session lasting around 3 hours. It gives parents and children the opportunity to come into school and work together with myself to build an early love of reading.

The overall aim of the ‘Building a Bridge of Books’ project is to encourage and foster a love of books in young children. By taking part in this project, parents and carers are supporting their child’s development of early reading skills, including speaking and listening. It will also help to develop and expand children's skills within other areas of learning including Personal, Social and Emotional Development and Expressive Arts and Design.

Please bear in mind, the project is only open to 10 families so it will operate on a first come, first served basis. Speak to Miss Nolan as soon as possible if you are interested.

I will send out more details as soon as possible.

Thank you for your continued support in your child’s learning.
