Gwladys Street C P and N School was visited by an assessor on 30.3.17 for the renewal of the Basic Skills Quality Mark. The assessor held discussions with the Headteacher, Deputy Head, Maths and English Subject leads, a school governor and a group of pupils. The assessor toured the school and was particularly impressed by Active Maths and the high standards the school is reaching. She was able to look at the school's assessment systems and a sample of children's books. We were very impressed by the group of pupils who spoke to the assessor as they were able to talk about how they use their maths skills in other areas of the curriculum and transferring their writing skills. Well done to all involved.
