Attainment

Attainment at Gwladys Street

This year, children in Years 2 and 6, continued to sit the new National Curriculum tests in Reading, GPS and Maths.

Writing has a teacher assessment judgement, however Year 2 and 6 teachers moderate the children's work within school, with other schools from Liverpool authority, with schools from another authority as well as attending regular Local Authority Moderation meetings to ensure the judgements are accurate and correct.

The attainment scores below show where children have reached at least the expected level.

Foundation Stage 2

In the 2016-17 cohort, 64% of FS2 children achieved a Good Level of Development which was an overall increase of 2% from 2015-16.

Phonic Screening Test

Year 1 - 79% of the children passed the Government's phonic screening test which again was an overall 2% increase from the 2015-16 data.

Year 2 - 67% of year 2 children who were required to resit the Government's phonic screening test passed this year.
