4M

smileyWelcome to 4M!smiley

Mr Moore is 4M's class teacher.  He is in class on Monday and Tuesday all day and Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings.  Mrs Healey is in 4M when Mr Moore is not in class as Mrs Walker is on maternity leave.

If you need to speak to either of us, we are always available at the end of the day or you can make an appointment at the school office.

Useful Information

Home Reading

Please make sure that your Home Reading Log is in school every day.  Mr Moore will check, sign and add a note into the journal.

Books are changed by the children when they have finished their book and they can then select a new book and scan it out using our Library System.

Home Learning is handed out every Friday.  This should be returned to Mr Moore no later than Thursday morning so that it can be marked.  All Home Learning is a consolidation of work taught in class.

Why not try logging on to Mathletics to polish your Mathematics skills.  Mr Moore also sets Home Learning on this site and you will be rewarded with a fantastic Mathletics certificate! http://uk.mathletics.com/

If your child is finding some of their Home Learning difficult, please let Mr Moore know so extra support can be given.

PE

PE is every Wednesday.  Please make sure that your PE kits are in school every week.

As part of Physical Education 4M also take part in Maths of the Day.  A great resource which combines Mathematics and PE.

Paintings, Pictures and Photographs

It has been a very busy start to the autumn term.  We began our topic with an entry point where all the children explored water colour, self portrait and digital art.

During the Knowledge Harvest the children came up with some great ideas about different visits we could go on.  So watch this space...

Find out what we will be covering in this topic.

Explorers and Adventurers

During the spring term, 4M will be learning about Anglo-Saxons and Vikings.  As well as going on a residential to Colomendy.

Today in class, 4M were given a range of Viking and Anglo-Saxon artefacts.  They worked together to decide what they were, what they were used for and who used them.
